What I'm doing right now
10:11 p.m., San Francisco time: Posting a photo taken earlier today of a tropical vine, carrying a brilliant orange flower. The sky was cobalt-blue and it was warm -- maybe 60 degrees -- as I walked past one of San Francisco's many city parks. Then I stopped dead, smelling something for the first time in eight months: fresh-cut grass. It is spring.

Gee, Jim, you sure know how to hurt a guy! NJ is slowly waking up, and I mean slowly! Buds have formed on trees and lovely crocus have popped up all around, but he weather continues to be chilly. I suspect we won't smell fresh cut grass for a while. Go ahead and enjoy!
