[Police respond to shooting scene; location map, below]
An EMS worker said one person was dead this morning, after shots were fired in a Courier-Journal parking lot shortly after 10:30. "Two women motorists traveling by the scene at the time of the incident said they saw a man running eastbound on Broadway between Sixth and Seventh streets, being chased by officers in jackets identifying them as U.S. marshals,'' the paper is now reporting.
The incident recalls the workplace murders at a former Courier-Journal printing plant, 20 years ago this year. The case is famous for a clandestine settlement over the role the anti-depressant medication Prozac played in the Standard Gravure shootings: On Sept. 14, 1989, Joseph Wesbecker, 47, entered the plant, where he killed eight people, injured 12, and then committed suicide.

the two incidents don't seem to have ANYTHING to do with the other.
