Why they're moving video cameras into position

"I am sure management just wants
fair warning when employees tow
the guillotines into the newsroom."

-- Anonymous@1:58 p.m., regarding reports from Montgomery, Ala., and Phoenix. Plus, they worry when workers organize and communicate in code, such as this just in from Anonymous@2:37 p.m.: "LOL @1:58. Still, I'd volunteer to sharpen the blades."

  1. For the same reason they have video cameras in prison. When you treat people like nothing, they tend to rebel. Maybe moral could be elevated a bit around the Republic if The Pricker, Peter Ricker would actually ask some of his employees what he can do to help, instead of creating ridiculous sales contest that no one cares about. how about attending a meeting with a few clients and actually listening to what they say and responding? That is, if he can show up on time to a meeting?
Oh, I'm sure he will say that he has met clients and has attended meetings, but what did you do about it Peter? Many of the adverstisers are fed up with the Republic after so many years of robbing them for every dime they had to run a 3x3 ad. The Republic is getting exactly what it deserves, because greed gets you no where!
