Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

Should you have deep pockets and the desire to keep a 138-year-old paper afloat, Gannett said you can contact: Robert J. Broadwater, managing director of Broadwater & Associates LLC, at (914) 961-5700 or broadwater@broadwaterllc.com.

ReplyDeleteAny idea what Gannett is looking for?
ReplyDelete"This town ain't big enough for both of us. pilgrim!"
ReplyDeleteWith apologies to the Tucson folks: How come we can't get Gannett to sell the Wisconsin Rapids paper? How many time do we have to send them proposals? Locally owned would have an awesome ring.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether Gannett and Lee were playing a game of chicken, watching each other to see which one would pull the plug first.
