Rolling over? Amid sweeping layoffs, an anniversary

Company co-founder Frank E. Gannett (left) died 51 years ago today, after suffering a fall. He was 81, and had co-founded the company in 1902.

  7. Mr. Potter - that's a good one. The paper Frank founded Gannett upon will be a storefront bureau of 3 soon enough...
