Are readers lining up to print out homepages . . .

. . . the same way they're lining up to get copies of today's historic paper front pages? "Hell, no,'' a reader says in a fresh comment. "Who wants to put a computer-printed sheet into their kids' time capsule? Today the newspaper is King! Copies are being sold on eBay!"

  2. I just did screen grabs of all the election front pages from the Newseum and put them in a folder in my hard-drive. Who needs newspapers that are just gonna turn yellow, take up space in the attic and collect dust! And when I want to show them to my grandkids, I'll just do a slideshow!

Please be sure to tell your grandkids you didn't have to pay one cent for the photos in the slideshow. Further, tell them you used to work in a job that actually paid people to take photos and report news---until the money dried up because everthing turned free.

  4. And your kids might say "what a bunch of dumb shits for giving it away for free". Because by the time they grow up, they will have figured out how to monetize the web and look at us and think how dumb we were.

It is called capitalism and America rules.
Oh yeah, there wont be a slide show either because it will be something completely different. Remember 8 tracks? Albums?

  6. another lost opprotunity by some newspapers to collect more revenue. Obviously, if the papers were all sold out, not enough were printed.
