How to get fabulously rich blogging about Gannett

Former ace Gannett reporter John Reinan says the Minnesota public relations firm where he now works contacted a blogger with whom the agency had dealt with in the past.

"He replied to us with an e-mail explaining that he's getting too many PR pitches, and henceforth he'll be working exclusively with 'paid opportunities,'" John writes today on the MinnPost blog. "In other words, if you pay him, he'll blog about your client. He enclosed a rate card listing rates of $25 to $100 for 'sponsored posts.'"

So, with that in mind:

"Gannett is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful employer I've ever known in my life."

Now, where's my $100?!

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
