Market meltdown: Gannett stock falls nearly 4%
Updated at 6:19 p.m. ET. Shares traded as low as $15.62 before closing higher, as the broader stock market plunged again on worries the U.S. financial system is coming off the rails. GCI ended the day at $15.96, down 59 cents, or 3.6% -- a far better performance than the widely-watched S&P-500 Index, which fell 4.7%.
