[Daily clicks: yellow bars show visits; red are page views]
Company co-founder Frank Gannett (left) would not be amused! Gannett Blog grabbed nearly 9,000 visits and 25,000 page views yesterday -- more than three times' the daily average -- as the company hacked off 1,000 jobs from the newspaper division. Good for you...............I have criticized you before but you have a good thing going! Keep it up JIM!!
ReplyDeleteThey tried to fire me today but were unsucessful....this is the place to speak out and kudo's to you jim even though you are white collar and I am blue! Layoffs are eniment for the egyption style management where the lower rung employees will have top sacrifice for the pyramid type of management that only cares about their owns expences and perks and will chop everyone before themselves............greed????? Naw
ReplyDeleteYou're Fired!
ReplyDeleteTime to add some advertising Jim. Imagine if you could make money off the internet and Gannett - cuz they can't!
ReplyDeleteAnybody want to guess when gannett.com will have a press release on the layoffs?
ReplyDeleteIf I could be a citizen journalist, I could help them out right now.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteI'm an ex-Gannettoid and former USATer. Glad to see someone is calling corporate on their ineptitude and providing a commentary on the vacuum that is executive leadership at Gannett.
Still nothing in the Nashville headlines about layoffs but there was a story on the local news channel this morning. Apparently word slipped out...lol
ReplyDeleteI bet GCI website had this much traffic.
ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing this blog. As others have said before, it is our only outlet to express our frustratins and share with others in the same boat. You are to be commended for your work and all of us say thanks for the many hours you devote on a daily basis. By the way, thanks to Sparky since he's seeing you spend so much time on something other than your relationship.
Big kudos, Jim. I think if more people knew about this blog, there would be even more traffic. I am amazed to find that some people still don't know it exists. I work at USA TODAY, and as recently as last week, still encountered people that knew nothing about it. I am doing what I can to spread the word.
ReplyDelete@10:03 am: Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think they will know about the blog after today. Let me also thank you, Jim. Don't pay attention to the trolls from Tysons.
