USA Today's secret formula for going 'green'
Add this to the shrinking daily's list of 11 "environmentally sound features" at the McLean, Va., complex that also houses Corporate:

CRAIG DUBOW MUST GO. And take Ken Paulson with you. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
ReplyDeleteThe reduced carbon footprint due to laid-off employees using less electricity is offset somewhat by the incompetents that never get fired, converting perfectly good oxygen into carbon dioxide.
ReplyDeleteLuckily, now and then they find other jobs.
The incompetents are a major problem at USAT. They never get fired, rarely look for work elsewhere and add to the bad morale of the whole. Some incompetents are rewarded if they simply fit the right demographic. They have a pass on almost everything. Frankly, I am hoping USAT has another round of buyouts, and opens it up a bit more this time to people with a little less than 15 years of service. Anyone 50 or older, with say 10 years service, should be be allowed to get out. It's not a healthy place to work for baby boomers. USAT is going to have a lot of ailing and dead bodies to contend with if the stress isn't relieved soon. Bring on the buyouts; save the plantet! Oh, and as a side note, Paulson's only two accomplishments I see are in getting rid of the stupid USAT U class requirements and in dismantling the equally dumb 3G madness of a few years ago. What is it with this newspaper and its knack for conjuring up transparent programs and catch phrases? Now it's all about "managing up" and "digital platforms" and "flattening the organizations." What the heck does any of that mean? And why would top editors use language like that? You idiotic execs, don't you know you are dealing with journalists not 10th-graders? We see through all of your crap! What an uninspiring company!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the USAT incompetents are filtered out to infect other sites, like the ones running Westchester into the ground.
