Hot Off the Press: The Indianapolis Star

This morning's Star; click on the image for a bigger view. With Indiana's southern half bracing for more flooding today, editors are wisely encouraging readers in the print paper (see inset, left) to view more photos and share their stories online. The print edition also points readers to a multimedia section, offering a real-time flood stage map.

Among early responses, Star reader AThinker offers a smart consumer tip: "Auto donations to charities such as the Boy Scouts of America or other charitable organizations with an auto donation program could see an increase. This is great,'' the reader says, adding this caution: "Auto buyers beware of flooded vehicles for sale as there are ways to avoid problems."

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
