GCI shares tumble nearly 5% on weak May results

Updated at 4:30 p.m. ET: Gannett's stock plunged 4.5% today, closing at $24.42 a share --down $1.15, on grim news about last month's revenue decline. Shares traded as low as $23.81 during the day before recovering. About 6.4 million shares traded, more than twice the 2.7 million daily average, Google Finance says. 

Earlier: GCI's stock has traded as low as $24.04 a share, down $1.55, so far today on news of last month's big revenue decline. That eclipses the most recent 52-week low of $25.17, Google Finance says.
