Top Gannett executives feel your pain, Part 2

Beginning this year, the top brass will have to pay their own country club dues, and more. From the just-released proxy report to shareholders:

"The highest paid executives also occasionally receive tickets to sporting events for personal use if the tickets are not needed for business use, for which the Company does not incur incremental costs. Beginning in 2008, the Company will no longer provide its senior executives with any allowance for home security systems (other than for [CEO Craig] Dubow) or club membership fees."

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
