Report: GCI, three others in online ad network

With the Tribune Co., Hearst Corp. and the New York Times Co., Gannett is setting up an online ad-sales network as a stand-alone company called quadrantONE, The Wall Street Journal says today. "Like a consortium created by Yahoo and a group of newspapers last year," the story says, "it will allow national advertisers to buy space on certain of the websites operated by their newspapers in a bid to capture new sales as revenue at their print editions evaporates."

  1. I think it's very telling (and sad) that all of the news I learn about Gannett is either found through your blog or online news notifiers.

  2. You should have someone copyedit your headline. hint hint.

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
