Yours truly and the proverbial cardboard box with my treasured
mint julep cup, a gift from my wonderful co-workers at
The Courier-Journal when I left in 2000. This was around 1 p.m. today in
USA Today's downtown San Francisco bureau. I had stopped by after learning I could get credentials to blog from
Macworld, the big Apple hoo-haw kicking off tomorrow here in San Francisco. (I'm already weary of all the stories referencing
black turtleneck shirt and jeans.)

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
