Report: Turmoil in Nashville as staffers leave
Nashville Scene, no friend of The Tennessean, says six newsroom employees there quit in recent weeks, including the city editor.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

They were not the first to leave and will not be the last. The newsroom lives in fear of current management and their daily tirades, unprofessional behavior and outdated news judgement. Morale is at an all time low and the only staff members not looking for jobs elsewhere are people too close to retirement or have ties to the area. Mostly the staff in Nashville wonders why Gannett management doesn't care.
ReplyDeleteFrom the article: "...the record ship-jumping of staffers under predecessor E.J. Mitchell."
ReplyDeleteFunny, that wasn't in E.J.'s bio when he came to Cherry Hill. Our newsroom is quickly emptying out too.
