On Wall Street, it's called an opening day pop

Click on the image for an easier-to-read view. Left to right, the chart shows visits (yellow bars) and pageviews (red) in thousands from last Friday through about 3:45 p.m. PT today. I'm crazy for data, so I use three web analytics programs -- Google Analytics, Site Meter and StatCounter. Their traffic counts are all different, though they show identical trends. Once I've collected enough data, I'll make a Google Analytics report available.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
