Forget Iowa; what about that stuck duck?

This is today's Times Herald at Port Huron, Mich.; click on the image for a bigger view. The paper, about an hour northeast of Detroit, takes local-local news to the max this morning. In print, there isn't a single word on Page One about last night's big Iowa caucuses upset. On the other hand, editors were all over a story about firefighters rescuing a mallard stuck in the partially frozen Black River. The duck's future looks grim. I wonder how they'll play the duck's death, if it comes to that?

Update on Jan. 6: Looks like the duck may make it after all!
