Our yearly building-wide hot catered luncheon was canceled. Each department head has to now fend for his/her own. Nothing says Happy Holidays and thanks for toughing it out this year like a half of a cold sub from the deli.
ReplyDeleteWhat? The corporate office in McLean is having a holiday party for its employees? When many of the sites have eliminated them as part of expense controls?
ReplyDeleteOne site even stopped giving its annual gift certificates ($30 for part-time employees or full-time less than a year; $60 for full-time) among its cuts.
(Of course the publisher is putting new hardwood flooring and a flat-panel TV in his office.)
Priorities, you know.
First Gannett blog person( you ARE A WOMAN, are you not). Why are you not answering my e-mail queston?
