This chart shows the monthly change in newspaper advertising revenue from the year-ago period, according to GCI's monthly statistical reports. I'm breaking out USA Today's figures because it's the only paper GCI gives specific data on.
Clearly, the trend hasn't been good. January was the only month showing a company-wide increase; revenues have been lower since. I'm expecting the next report between now and Wednesday, when second-quarter earnings are to be released.
