How many minorities are on the board of directors?
Review these photos and bios of Gannett's 10-person board of directors and tell me the answer. I'm trying to unravel a minor mystery about changes underway to the board.
Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

I think the answer is: 1 -- Arthur Harper. But looks can be deceiving.
ReplyDeleteThe bios make it pretty clear, Jim. There is just one. How does that compare with past Gannett boards, given the company's emphasis on diversity?
ReplyDeleteAgain, asking Jim to analyze anything is both pointless and hilarious. I enjoy it when people do it, but you should realize you are going nowhere.

ReplyDeleteShapiro is normally a Jewish name. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteNo; historically, Gannett has defined minorities as blacks, Asians, Hispanics and Native Americans.

ReplyDeleteWho cares? How many are gay? Who cares?
